ACS Meeting News: Testing is fast and inexpensive by using arsenic immersion to identify parasitic diseases Elizabeth K. Wilson RAY TO TURN A dye containing (left), which glows when exposed to UV light, indicating the presence of a deadly parasite. A new radiation testing is being developed by researchers at SRI International, in Menlo Park, Calif.., Can detect very cheap and in just a few minutes on the existence of parasites that cause some deadly disease. Trypanosomatidae family of parasite causing Chagas disease in Central and South America, difficulty sleeping sickness in Africa, and leishmaniasis for millions of people around the world.

Infrared Spectroscopy help diagnose cancer

A genetic algorithm developed by British scientists to assist in the use of infrared spectroscopy (IR) in the diagnosis of cancer. IR spectroscopy is a non-destructive method in the analysis of cells, tissues and liquid gas has been used to detect different diseases and levels of malignancies of the prostate infection, cervical and colon tissues. However, some methods for processing the cells before the analysis is neither standard through which different laboratories, which could make the results difficult to interpret by non-specialty in the hospital itself.

Reap the Alternative Fuels from Waste Garden

It can not be denied that until now, the fossil fuel is the fuel most widely and most frequently used by all human beings in this world. Use of this type of fuel is higher and higher, along with the increased activity and the earth's population. The fact is what makes the world now are on two threats at once: the growing global warming as well as future energy scarcity due to reduced fossil fuel. Several solutions were offered by scientists began. One of the most effective and lively discussed is the use of alternative fuels. Alternative fuels bustling examined by scientists today usually come from renewable sources or can not be run like sunlight, water, wind, geothermal, and biomass.

silver nano particles by nature

Silver nanoparticles have many benefits in human life, especially as antifungal agents (fungi) and antibakteria so frequently used in consumer product industries. However, the presence of silver nanoparticles in the industry not only alone, but also on the environment, especially the aquatic environment. Lately concentration of silver nanoparticles was found to increase in that concern environmental scientists to further investigate the origin of the silver nanoparticles.

role of the process engineer

Although the working role of the process design engineer may include all of the technical requirements listed above, it is very important to recognize what this entails in some detail. The process design engineer, in addition to being capable of participating in evaluation of research and pilot plant data and the conversion of this data into a proposed commercial process scheme, must also:

chemical industry

In this article I will introduce what is the chemical industry. Let us begin by understanding the chemical industry itself. by Origin said, starting from the word "Industrial" and followed by the word "chemistry". Industry says is a process that converts raw materials into useful products or having value-added, and the product can be used directly by consumers as the end user and the product is called the "end-product", in addition to the products of the industry can be also used as raw materials by other industries, which is also known as "intermediate product". The word product in Industrial Chemistry course involves Industries producing chemicals. While raw materials are processed in the industry can be obtained through the process of mining, petrochemical, agricultural or other sources.

magic chalk

It disturbed us when the room especially the bedroom of a sudden there was the line of ants. They did not just mess up our food and drink but it can be changed so the skin bump-bump when bitten.

For now the solution in addition to maintaining the cleanliness, if there are ants so I can not help repel insects through an inhaler or magic chalk.

corn biomass by pirolisis

Corn biomass processing could also be done using pyrolysis. The major content of corn biomass are cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin, whereas when the combustion was done in with the appropriate temperature, pressure, and oxygen availability could be produced several chemical. From the pyrolysis could be produced food additive such as antioxidant, flavor, disinfectant which is safely used yang as food additive. Besides that,
from the pyrolysis process, also produced the bio oil which could be used as alternative energy. The aims of this research were to know the impact of pyrolysis treatment which had been given such as the temperature, and catalyst to the food additive (antioxidants, flavor, disinfectant) and also bio oil. From the thermogravimetric analysis, the corn cob would be burnt in temperature of 176.91°C until 388.97OC with 56.221% weight losses,
the corn husk in the 204.71 uti1367.92 "C with 50,1192% weight losses. While the corn leaves would be burnt in temperature of 209,06 -61 1.76 "C with 67.000% weight losses and the corn stem would be bumt in temperature of 139,28"C until 398,97 "C with 41,857% weight losses. The corncob and cornhusk pyrolysis produced the hughest liquid in the temperature of 550oC, while corn leaf and stalks in the temperature of 350°C. There were several chemical product from corn biomass pyrolysis such as fenol, aldehid, carboxylic acid and several hydrocarbon which could be used as food additive and biooil.

Do you want to know how to make corn biomass?
It’s only in this book with the title making corn biomass = making business opportunity composed by A. Irawan. Get it now, contact me and you get it.

Utilization of Peanut Skin Become Liquid Smoke Using Pyrolysis Process for Making Smoked Decapterus Spp By: Budi Yuli Ani university of Diponegoro, Indonesia.

How to make peanut skin become liquid smoke?

okay, in this article i want to give you how making smoke liquid from peanut skin, but i start from what is pirolisis. Pirolisasi is a process of chemical decomposition of organic material through a heating process with no or little oxygen or other reagents, where the raw material will experience a chemical solution into the gas phase structure. The material used is biomass (organic material) which is the production of living beings. In this lab, will be an experiment to produce liquid smoke from oil palm shell by using Pyrolysis.

you wouldn't know what is smoke liquid, right?
smoke liquid is a result of condensation of steam distillation or combustion indirectly or directly from materials that contain a lot of carbon and other compounds. Raw materials are widely used today is wood, palm hump, sawmill residue results, dll.Pada generally liquid smoke itself has been recognized by several countries like Japan, which made for materials before frying or grilling meat.

Judging from the elements that make up of the liquid smoke, which is usually much phenol elements contained by the liquid smoke, which itself phenol familiar to any element floor cleaners and desinfectan. Since the elements of phenol is that we can use in the rubber industry to elevate the quality of rubber either at the farm or in the factory rubber

Pyrolysis tool is equipped with a furnace albakos, the reservoir of tar, condensers, vacuum, and gas stoves. The variables used are divided into 2 is fixed variable and independent variables. Fixed variable used is the time and volume of material used while the independent variables are the type of materials used in each experiment.
The experimental results and calculations, the experiment pirolysis palm kernel shells for 3 hour experiment. The experimental results 60 minutes, specific gravity obtained 120,180:0,9336gr/ml, 0,93gr/ml, 0,9152gr/ml for its viscosity in a row is 1,284cp, 1,1073cp, 0,857cp. The resulting volume is 180ml, 150ml, 100ml. Ph 5,4,4. From these experiments it is concluded that the longer the combustion of oil palm shells, the less the volume of liquid smoke produced, so that the lower the density and viscosity. Likewise with yield the lower levels. This is because the volume of produced liquid smoke less and also the existence of impurities from ending. Not only that volume decreased with the length of time due to the smoke generated participated condensed liquid with water. And also charcoal burning has been exhausted so that no smoke is absorbed condensed.

thank's.
